Ingredients

Minor differences between the ingredients list below and the ingredients declared on the packaging may occur, because we continually improve the content of our products according to the newest knowledge about health and environment.

1) Aqua (Water)
2) Polysorbate 60
3) Glycerin

4) Niacinamide
(also known as vitamin B3) is a unique skin-restoring ingredient that offers several benefits for the skin. It improves the skin barrier by boosting the skins natural production of skin-strengthening skin ceramides. It also improves the elasticity of the skin and reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It rebalances uneven skin tone and reduces discoloration of the skin.

5) Mandelic Acid
is a mild alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) which gently exfoliates the skin. Compared to other AHA acids, it has a larger molecular size and therefore penetrates the skin more slowly, giving a much gentler but still effective exfoliation. Mandelic acid loosens the bonds that hold the dead skin cells firmly attached to the skin’s surface, thereby promoting the peeling process of the dead skin cells. Where other AHA acids can promote hyperpigmentation on darker skin tones, Mandelic acid does not.

6) Gluconolactone
is a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) that has mild exfoliating properties. Its large molecular size allows it to penetrate the skin slowly, resulting in less irritation. In addition to exfoliating, gluconolactone also strengthens the skin as it also has moisturizing and anti-oxidant properties.

6) Capryloyl Salicyle Acid
Capryloyl Salicylic Acid (CSA) is a lipohydroxy acid (LHA) meaning it is fat-soluble. CSA is a salicylic acid derivative and has the same properties as salicylic acid but penetrates the skin deeper than AHA acids due to the fat solubility. However, CSA is gentler acting than salicylic acid as it penetrates the skin more slowly and it is therefore suitable for even sensitive skin. CSA promotes exfoliation of the dead skin cells by loosening the bonds between the cells. In addition, CSA stimulates cell renewal resulting in a more quickly exchange to new skin surface cells.

8) Polysorbate 80
9) PEG-40 Hydrogentated Castor Oil

10) Alpinia Speciousa Flower/Leaf/Stem Water
The Alpinia Speciosa plant is related to ginger and originates in tropical and subtropical parts of the world and is specifically harvested in Okinawa, Japan. The inhabitants of the Japanese island are especially known for their high life expectancy. Alpinia Speciosa Leaf Extract enhances the connection between the epidermis and the dermis by upregulating the production of several different connective tissues in the extracellular matrix, including elastin and collagen. The result is a smoother skin with more radiance.

11) Caffeine
is a strong anti-oxidant protecting the skin against damage caused by free radicals. Due to its anti-inflammatory effect it also helps to soothe the skin and bring down any redness of the skin.

12) Phenoxyethanol
13) Cetearyl Isononanoate
14) Alcohol
15) Triethanolamine
16) Sodium Cocoamphoacetate
17) Menthyl PCA

18) Allantoin
has keratolytic and hydrating effects and results in a silky-smooth and healthy skin. Allantoin stimulates cell renewal so new and fresh skin cells can replace the dead skin cells faster. Studies have also shown that allantoin has a calming effect and reduces water loss from the skin.

19) Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract
is the extract from Liquorice Root. This is well known as a wound healing extract, helping to reduce irritation within the skin and providing instant comfort to sensitive skin. It enables the skin to accept strongly reacting ingredients with fewer side effects, enabling more effective ingredients to be tolerated by sensitive skin.

20) Ethylhexylglycerin
Sodium Chloride
Cucumis Sativus (cucumber) Fruit Extract
has astringent, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. Its refreshing properties can reduce puffiness and relieve itching, as well as help to easen redness

21) Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract
has several beneficial properties which have a calming and preventive effect. It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial effects. The ginger extract also protects the skin’s collagen, as it inhibits collagenase, which would otherwise degrade collagen.

22) Tetrasodium Iminodisuccinate
Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract
has a calming effect as it has anti-irritant and anti-itchy properties. Reduces redness and itching through inhibition of histamine and inflammatory neurotransmitters. The extract contains a number of different flavonoids and polyphenols with anti-oxidant properties. The main calming components of oats is a group of polyphenolic compounds called Avenanthramides, which have been shown to be very effective in calming the skin, even at very small concentrations.

23) Sodium Glycolate
24) Potassium Sorbate
25) Sodium Benzoate
